July 4th is a day for attending parades, BBQ’s and watching fireworks with family and friends, but there is so much more your kids can do to keep busy during this popular summer holiday!

Y’all these 4th of July crafts are the cutest, a ton of fun, and great for the whole family. Plus, a lot of them can double as Independence day decor or can be used as games. We hope you love these as much as we do!

5. American Flag Painting Craft

American Flag Paint Stick Project is a cheap way to craft for the 4th of July. This project from Glue Dots is a perfect way to keep kiddos busy in the days leading up to the 4th of July.

Make a Patriotic Necklace! My kids love to make necklaces & bracelets. These ones from Buggy and Buddy, made from blue pony beads and red and white straws will be fun to wear to the town parade!

7. Confetti Poppers Craft

Confetti Launchers are a fun way to celebrate! This idea from Happiness Is Homemade is a great alternative to fireworks, especially if your kids are too young for sparklers. They’re easy to make, require few supplies, and let you recycle toilet paper rolls.

Make Lawn Stars with Sifted Flour -Here’s a unique idea from Pink and Green Mama featured on BuzzFeed on how to incorporate stars into your yard. This works as a simple decoration or can be fun to kids to jump from star to star.
